Dear Residents and Project Stakeholders,

Thank you for your interest in the Bachman Lake Dam and Spillway and Lake Dredging Maintenance Improvements Project. Dallas Water Utilities is currently in the design phase of the project that includes engineering efforts to ensure dam safety and regulatory compliance of the dam and spillway and lake dredging based on the Bachman Lake Task Force’s recommendation to “Maintain the Lake”. 

Two public meetings are proposed to provide an opportunity to learn more about the project and provide community input. The focus of the first meeting is to provide an overview of the project objectives and to receive community feedback. At the second meeting, the project team will provide an overview of the design including the consideration of community feedback in the analysis and design and discuss next steps.

Please keep in mind that the meeting dates and format are still being determined and will be dependent on the status of the COVID-19 pandemic and regulations for safe distancing.
